Otto Salzer (1874 - 1944) was a German racing car driver, famous for his contributions to the success of Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft, where he became team leader in 1903, previously having worked as an engineer since 1896.

DEUTSCHES REICH (1935 - 1943)
During the "Third Reich" the Reichspost continued to function as a monopoly of the government under the auspices of the Reichspostministerium, and Nazi propaganda took hold and influenced stamp design and policy. The Hitler head stamp became the stamp for common usage, and a large number of semipostal stamps were issued. In the last year before the end of the war the stamp inscription "Deutsches Reich" was changed to "Grossdeutsches Reich" (Greater German Empire).
Во времена Третьего рейха (1933-1945) "Рейхспочта" продолжала функционировать как государственная монополия под эгидой Имперского министерства почты, при этом на дизайн почтовых марок и на программу выпуска марок сильное влияние оказывала национал-социалистическая пропаганда. Повсеместно используемыми почтовыми марками стали миниатюры с изображением головы Гитлера, было эмитировано большое количество почтово-благотворительных марок. В последний год перед окончанием войны надпись на почтовых марках "Deutsches Reich" ("Германская империя") была изменена на "Grossdeutsches Reich" ("Великая Германская империя").

on the blue stamp - The Volkswagen - KdF-Wagen of Ferdinand Porsche, designed by F.Porsche when he was the chief engineer of the Daimler-Benz, and later inspired the Mercedes cars in 1931-33.

В последний год перед окончанием войны надпись на почтовых марках «Deutsches Reich» («Германская империя») была изменена на «Grossdeutsches Reich» («Великая Германская империя»). Хотя марка посвящена авиации, но на ней оказался грузовой автобус марки Мерседес.
In the last year before the end of the war the stamp inscription "Deutsches Reich" was changed to "Grossdeutsches Reich" (Greater German Empire). Though the stamp is dedicated to aviation, there is a Mercedes truck or bus also.

Марка выпущена в Чехии. Специалисты утверждают, что на миниатюре изображен фрагмент рамки лобового стекла Мерседеса 770, т.к. фюрер именно на них ездил, и эта миниатюра сделана с реальной фотографии.
A stamp issued in Czechia (Bohemia). The experts insist that on the miniature there is a detail of the front window of the Grosser Mercedes 770, because Hitler used only this car for his trips, and the miniature is a reproduction of a real historical photo.
